Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Design Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering. The candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and supporting the execution of galvanizing plants, material handling systems, and related industrial equipment. The role requires proficiency in design software, technical documentation, and coordination with project and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and fabrication drawings for galvanizing plants and associated equipment.
- Design structural and mechanical components using CAD software.
- Develop plant layouts, equipment arrangements, and piping layouts as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams for design implementation.
- Review customer requirements and prepare design solutions accordingly.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), technical documentation, and design reports.
- Assist in site execution and resolve design-related issues during fabrication and installation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in industrial equipment, plant design, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar design software.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, structural design, and material handling systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in galvanizing plants, surface treatment plants, steel processing equipment, or industrial plant projects.
- Knowledge of P&ID, plant layout design, and process engineering.
- Familiarity with relevant IS, ASTM, and engineering standards.
- Exposure to project execution and installation activities.
