Senior Backend Developer (Node.js + Python + AWS + Microservices)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, Python, AWS, Microservices, REST APIs, and System Design. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, cloud-native distributed applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
The candidate should also be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (such as OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, or similar) to improve engineering productivity, automate repetitive tasks, enhance code quality, and accelerate software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and Python.
- Build cloud-native applications on AWS following best engineering practices.
- Design and develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
- Architect and implement Microservices-based distributed systems.
- Participate in System Design discussions and technical architecture decisions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, observability, and cost.
- Implement coding standards, security best practices, testing, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Frontend Developers, DevOps, and QA teams.
- Build highly available and fault-tolerant backend services.
- Utilize AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive coding tasks, assist in code reviews, generate unit tests, and accelerate software development.
Required Experience
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js.
- Good hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems.
- Strong System Design knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture.
- Strong REST API development experience.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
