Working Hours
- Monday to Saturday
- 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- One weekly off (Sunday)
Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with speech, language, voice, swallowing, communication, and cognitive-communication disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to improve patients' communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, swallowing, and communication assessments.
- Identify speech and language disorders using standardized assessment tools.
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and treatment recommendations.
- Reassess patient progress periodically and modify intervention plans accordingly.
Therapy & Rehabilitation
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions.
- Manage articulation, fluency, voice, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
- Maintain therapy goals and progress documentation.
Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding communication disorders and treatment plans.
- Provide home exercise programs and caregiver training.
- Counsel families regarding expected outcomes and rehabilitation strategies.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records, therapy notes, assessment reports, and discharge summaries.
- Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Ensure timely submission of treatment records and reports.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate with Psychiatrists, Neurologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Special Educators, and Nursing staff.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning meetings.
- Refer patients for additional services whenever clinically indicated.
Quality & Professional Development
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Participate in departmental meetings, audits, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Comply with hospital policies, infection control practices, and NABH standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) or Master of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with experience in hospital, rehabilitation, or neuropsychiatric settings will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and counselling abilities.
- Knowledge of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good documentation and report-writing skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a patient-centred approach.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in neurorehabilitation, psychiatric rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disorders, stroke rehabilitation, or traumatic brain injury.
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems.
- Knowledge of NABH documentation standards.
Working Conditions
- Monday to Saturday.
- Working hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- May participate in clinical meetings, awareness programs, camps, or outreach activities as assigned.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and hospital norms.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
