Job Summary
The Field Sales Executive is responsible for generating sales, developing customer relationships, and expanding market presence for the company's furniture products. The role involves visiting dealers, distributors, architects, interior designers, retailers, corporate clients, Hoteliers and project sites to promote products, secure orders, and achieve sales targets. The candidate should possess strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills with a focus on business growth.
Travelling - 10 - 12 days in a month - hilly regions including Bhutan area when ever required. Rest days of the month local market travel.
Key Responsibilities - Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new dealers, distributors, retailers, and project customers.
- Promote the company's furniture products and solutions to potential clients.
- Conduct regular market visits and customer meetings.
- Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and sales leads.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, architects, interior designers, contractors, and corporate clients.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable furniture products.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication and support.
- Resolve customer complaints and coordinate with internal teams for timely solutions.
Market Development
- Conduct market surveys and competitor analysis.
- Monitor industry trends, pricing, and customer preferences.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and new product placement.
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with management.
Order Management
- Prepare and submit quotations and proposals.
- Coordinate order processing, delivery schedules, and payment collection.
- Track sales orders and ensure timely execution.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer databases.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Report sales activities, market feedback, and business opportunities to management.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of field sales experience, preferably in furniture, interior products, building materials, home décor, plywood, laminates, modular furniture, or related industries.
- Experience in dealer/distributor network development is preferred.
Required Skills/ Technical Skills
- Knowledge of furniture products and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of pricing, quotations, and inventory management.
