We are looking for a skilled Commis II – Pastry & Bakery Chef with 2–4 years of experience in bakery and pastry production. The candidate will assist in preparing high-quality baked goods, pastries, desserts, and cakes while maintaining hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, muffins, and desserts.
- Assist in daily bakery and pastry production as per operational requirements.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and product quality.
- Monitor ingredient usage and minimize food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery workstation and equipment.
- Follow food safety standards and kitchen SOPs.
- Support stock management, inventory checks, and storage of ingredients.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of bakery equipment and tools.
- Assist in developing new bakery and dessert items when required.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and café team for timely production and service.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in Bakery & Pastry production.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert production.
- Understanding of food hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Ability to monitor wastage and maintain cost-effective production.
- Knowledge of bakery ingredients, measurements, and recipes.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commercial kitchens, cafés, hotels, bakeries, or cinema food courts.
- Creativity in pastry decoration and presentation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
