Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Procurement Operations
Procure production direct materials as per business requirements.
Release monthly schedule to supplier as per monthly requirement.
Follow up of parts as per schedules .
Ensure timely amendments to PO quantities, schedules.
2. Material Availability Management
Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production requirements.
Follow up with suppliers for on-time dispatches and deliveries.
Manage shortages and critical part escalations.
Coordinate with Planning and Stores teams to avoid line stoppages.
3. Supplier Coordination
Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers.
Monitor supplier delivery performance.
Conduct regular follow-up reviews for pending supplies and commitments.
Support resolution of supply-related issues.
4. Inventory Optimization
Balance inventory levels with production requirements.
Avoid excess inventory and stock-out situations.
Monitor slow-moving and excess inventory.
Support inventory reduction and working capital improvement initiatives.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
Production Planning (PPC)
Stores
Logistics
Quality Assurance
Finance
Engineering
to ensure smooth material flow and timely issue resolution.
6. SAP / ERP Operations
Maintain procurement transactions accurately in SAP.
Track material requirements and procurement status.
Generate and analyze procurement reports.
Monitor procurement KPIs and dashboards.
7. Risk Management
Identify supply risks proactively.
Escalate risks that may impact production schedules.
Support contingency planning during supply disruptions.
