Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts to support and oversee the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in accounts finalization, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Experience in the plantation, agriculture, manufacturing, or similar industries will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and other financial reports.
- Independently finalize books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports, financial analyses, and performance reports for management review.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, including return filing, input tax credit reconciliation, assessments, and audit support.
- Handle TDS computations, deductions, return filings, reconciliations, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and assessments.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and working capital to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Maintain fixed asset records and ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation accounting.
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST regulations, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and compliance.
- Support senior management with financial reports and analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, and adherence to accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
- M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or an equivalent professional qualification will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in independently handling accounts finalization and statutory compliance is essential.
- Prior experience in the plantation, agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries will be a distinct advantage.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
