The job holder is responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians & other health practitioners & provide information to patients about medications and related activities in the respective pharmacy unit.
Key responsibilities
1 Efficient Medicine Dispense Management
- Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors directly to customers Provide information and advice regarding medication, dosage as prescribed
- Ensure smooth functioning of the pharmacy and maintenance of records as per the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and periodically updating the policies procedures, systems and control.
- Handle narcotic, psychotropic and controlled medicine.
- Ensure proper stock storage inside the store as per company protocol Monitoring & Recording of Temperature in the Pharmacy
2 Cash Handling
- Check Day closing & Cash Maintain cash handover register
- Cash handover to Accounts Department
3 Stock Management
- Stock and dispense medicines as per Good Retail Practices (GRPs)
- Arrange the stocks according to the category and agency. Check expiry manually.
- Check stock expiry on a monthly basis
- Conduct detailed stock taking on a monthly basis
- Check visual merchandising & proper display regularly
Make shortage entry in the register for the reorder level
4 MIS
- Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, inventories, registries of narcotics, or controlled drugs
Inventory Management
- Billing of all presecription.
5 Take care of issues related to the software
- Updation of the stocks received from the suppliers
- Management of short expiry medication
6 Continuing professional development
- Demonstrate evidence of successful participation in mandatory training programs required by the Hospital
7 Documentation & Reporting Requirements
- All MIS Reports and other reports to be provided as per management requirements on timely basis
8 Other Responsibilities Any other responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time
Role specifications :
Qualification Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training B. Pharm
Advanced Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training M. Pharm
Experience Minimum Experience 2-5 Years Specific / Relevant Experience Preferred form relevant experience.
