Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with 7–8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure, primarily focused on Cisco technologies. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, performance, and security across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Implementation
· Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
· Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches (Catalyst/Nexus series)
· Implement LAN, WAN, WLAN solutions
· Support network expansion and infrastructure upgrades
Network Operations & Support
· Provide L2/L3 support for network incidents and troubleshooting
· Diagnose issues related to routing, switching, VLANs, and connectivity
· Maintain uptime and meet SLA requirements
· Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and capacity planning
Network Security
· Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, ACLs
· Implement security best practices within network design
· Monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities and threats
Monitoring & Performance Management
· Monitor network using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.
· Analyze performance metrics and optimize network efficiency
· Maintain logs and generate operational reports
Integration & Collaboration
· Work with cloud (Azure/AWS) and virtualization teams
· Support hybrid network connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect)
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams
Documentation
· Maintain updated network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs
· Document incidents, root cause analysis, and changes
Required Skills
Core Networking Skills
· Strong hands-on experience with:
o Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst, Nexus series)
o Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
o Switching technologies: VLANs, STP, VTP
· Knowledge of:
o TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
o Network troubleshooting tools
Security & Connectivity
· Experience with:
o Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto – basic)
o VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
· Basic understanding of network security frameworks
Additional Skills
· Exposure to:
o Cloud networking (Azure/AWS)
o Wireless networking (Cisco WLC, Access Points)
· Scripting basics (Python / Bash – optional but preferred)
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
· Relevant certifications (preferred):
o CCNA (mandatory), CCNP (preferred)
o Cisco specialization (Routing & Switching / Enterprise)
Pay: From ₹1,119,629.78 per year
