About the Role The Java Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable application components across enterprise products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle. The role requires gathering user requirements, participating in testing cycles, and supporting implementation based on stakeholder feedback. The engineer will work with Application Architects, Software Engineering, and Product Management teams to achieve success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and implement application solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code
- Participate in architecture and design discussions
- Debug and resolve software defects in a timely manner
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines
- Contribute to unit testing and integration testing strategies
- Support production issues (Level II support)
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and meet delivery timelines
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
Requirements
- Develop Java applications with 5–8 years of experience in Java development
- Utilize strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework
- Build RESTful APIs with experience in API development
- Apply knowledge of JPA, Design Patterns, and System Design principles
- Work with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Leverage familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Manage code with Git or other version control systems
- Build projects with Maven/Gradle build tools
- Implement Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Solve problems with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Collaborate as a committed team player with a positive winning attitude
- Hold a Bachelor of Computer Science or any equivalent Bachelor Degree
Good to Have
- Gain exposure to Microservices architecture
- Acquire basic knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms
- Develop frontend skills with React/Angular
- Work with NoSQL databases
