We are currently hiring for the following positions at Hotel Saffron Leaf:
Floor Polisher – Duties & Responsibilities
Department: Housekeeping
Position: Floor Polisher
Location: Hotel Saffron Leaf
- Operate floor polishing, scrubbing, buffing, and cleaning machines safely and efficiently.
- Clean and polish marble, granite, tile, wooden, and other floor surfaces.
- Carry out regular floor maintenance as per the hotel’s cleaning schedule.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals, polish, pads, and equipment for different floor types.
- Remove stains, dirt, marks, and scratches from flooring wherever possible.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine in guest areas, corridors, lobby, restaurants, and back-of-house areas.
- Check polishing machines and equipment before use and report any faults immediately.
- Keep machines, tools, and cleaning materials clean and properly stored after use.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping and Engineering teams for floor maintenance requirements.
- Ensure work areas are properly barricaded or signposted during cleaning and polishing.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper dilution instructions.
- Complete assigned tasks within the required time and maintain hotel standards.
- Report damaged flooring, equipment, or other maintenance issues to the concerned supervisor.
- Follow hotel grooming, hygiene, discipline, and workplace safety standards.
