We are looking for a hands-on Branch Incharge to manage end-to-end day-to-day operations of the branch for our PTL (Part Truck Load) business. The role is responsible for smooth inbound/outbound material handling, timely deliveries, branch manpower management, and adherence to operational SOPs to ensure customer satisfaction and branch profitability.
- Manage complete day-to-day branch operations for PTL freight – inward, sorting, loading/unloading, and dispatch.
- Ensure timely pick-up and delivery (PUDO) of consignments as per defined SLAs and TAT.
- Coordinate with the central/hub operations team for line-haul, primary, and secondary transportation movement.
- Manage branch manpower including loaders, drivers, supervisors, and customer service staff; plan daily workforce allocation.
- Ensure accurate documentation – LR, POD, E-way Bill, GRN, and other statutory paperwork for every consignment.
- Monitor branch-level cost, productivity, and basic P&L; control wastage, damages, and pilferage.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations at the branch level, ensuring quick resolution.
- Ensure proper cargo handling, storage, and safety practices within the branch/warehouse premises.
- Maintain vehicle placement, vendor coordination, and local transport tie-ups as required.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly MIS and operational reports to the Regional/Area Manager.
- Manage branch administration – vendor payments, petty cash, rent, and utilities, as applicable.
- Ensure strict compliance with company SOPs, safety norms, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in branch/warehouse operations within the Logistics, Courier, PTL/FTL, or Transportation industry.
- Hands-on experience in handling branch-level documentation, manpower, and vendor coordination.
- Local exposure to the Jalandhar / Vadodara / Vapi market will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of branch/warehouse operations, freight documentation, and PTL workflows.
- Good people management skills with the ability to handle ground-level staff and labour.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic ERP/transport management software.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-first approach.
- Proficiency in the local language along with working knowledge of Hindi/English.
- Willingness to work from the branch/warehouse location with extended working hours as needed.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
