Job Purpose:
The Electrical Service Engineer will be responsible for field service operations, troubleshooting, testing, routine maintenance, and emergency break-down repairs of KOEL Diesel Generator (DG) sets, electrical control panels (AMF/Synchronizing), and allied equipment across the Sindhudurg region.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:1. Field Service & Technical Execution:
- Carry out routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of KOEL Diesel Generator sets and associated electrical systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical panel faults, Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) panels, Auto Transfer Switches (ATS), and AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) systems.
- Perform testing and commissioning of new KOEL DG set installations at customer sites.
- Conduct load testing, insulation resistance testing (Megger), and voltage/frequency calibration.
2. Customer Relationship & Field Operations:
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls across customer sites in the Goa area.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with industrial, commercial, and residential clients.
- Educate customers/operators on safe operating procedures, daily checklist adherence, and basic maintenance.
3. Safety & Compliance (HSE):
- Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety protocols during maintenance and servicing.
- Ensure mandatory usage of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including insulated tools, rubber mats, and safety footwear.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to initiating high-risk electrical tasks or field activities.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
- Fill out service call reports, joint inspection reports (JIR), and customer feedback forms accurately post-service.
- Identify spare parts requirements and coordinate with the store team for timely dispatch.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. (ITI Electrical with relevant field experience will also be considered).
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on field experience in DG set electrical troubleshooting, AMF/PLC panels, and alternator maintenance (preferably KOEL / Kirloskar products).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams, control circuits, and alternator windings.
- Proficiency in handling multimeter, insulation tester (Megger), clamp meter, and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with safety standards.
- Soft Skills & Logistics:
- Valid 2-wheeler driving license (4-wheeler license is an added advantage).
- Good local geographic knowledge of the Sindhudurg region.
- Fluency in Marathi and Hindi (English communication is a plus).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
