About the Role
The Senior Program Coordinator – Experiential & Project-Based Learning Expert will provide technical leadership for Kalike's Experiential & Project-Based Learning Programme the assigned blocks and districts. The role is responsible for strengthening the quality of programme implementation by supporting Program Coordinators, building the capacity of teachers and education functionaries, designing academic resources, monitoring classroom practices, and ensuring effective implementation of child-centred, experiential, inquiry-based, and project-based learning approaches to improve children's learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
· Provide technical leadership on experiential learning, project-based learning (PBL), inquiry-based learning, activity-based learning, and child-centred pedagogy.
· Ensure quality implementation of Experiential & Project-Based Learning programmes across assigned districts and schools.
· Develop academic strategies, implementation plans, and learning frameworks that integrate experiential and project-based approaches
· Support innovation and continuous improvement in classroom teaching-learning processes
Programme Management
- Lead and monitor programme implementation multiple blocks
- Mentor and supervise Program Coordinators through regular field visits and review meetings.
- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly implementation plans.
- Ensure timely achievement of programme goals, milestones, and deliverables.
Capacity Building
· Design and facilitate district-level, block-level, cluster-level, and school-level training programmes for teachers, Head Teachers, Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), Block Resource Persons (BRPs), and education department officials on Experiential & Project-Based Learning.
· Develop training modules, facilitator guides, project implementation manuals, teacher handbooks, and teaching-learning resources.
· Organize demonstration classes, project exhibitions, workshops, refresher trainings, exposure visits, and peer-learning forums.
· Build the academic and facilitation capacities of Program Coordinators to effectively mentor teachers.
Academic Support & Classroom Quality
- Conduct classroom observations using structured observation tools.
- Demonstrate experiential and project-based classroom sessions and model effective teaching practices.
- Coach teachers in designing, facilitating, and assessing meaningful classroom projects.
- Support teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, interdisciplinary learning, and effective use of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs).
- Promote joyful, inclusive, competency-based, collaborative, and real-world learning experiences.
Innovation & Resource Development
- Develop experiential learning modules, project-based learning toolkits, teacher handbooks, TLMs, classroom resource materials, and assessment rubrics.
- Design project planning templates, observation tools, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Support pilot initiatives, action research, and innovations that strengthen experiential and project-based learning in schools.
Monitoring, Assessment & Documentation
- Develop academic monitoring and quality assurance frameworks.
- Review school visit reports and provide technical guidance.
- Analyse programme data and classroom observation findings to improve implementation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual programme reports.
- Document best practices, innovations, case studies, and success stories.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with the Department of School Education, DIET, BEOs, BRPs, CRPs, and other education stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation in district- and state-level academic forums and review meetings.
- Strengthen collaboration with Head Teachers, SDMCs, parents, and community institutions.
- Support alignment of programme activities with government education initiatives.
Innovation & Resource Development
- Develop experiential learning modules, activity manuals, teacher handbooks, TLMs, and classroom resource materials.
- Design assessment tools and observation frameworks to measure programme quality.
- Support pilot initiatives, action research, and innovations to enhance classroom learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or M.Ed. is preferred.
- Certification or specialised training in Experiential Learning, Activity-Based Learning, Teacher Education, or Curriculum Development is desirable.
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in school education, teacher professional development, or education programmes.
- Proven experience in experiential learning, activity-based learning, child-centred pedagogy, or curriculum implementation.
- Experience designing and facilitating large-scale teacher training programmes.
- Experience mentoring field teams and coordinating district-level education programmes.
- Experience working with NGOs, development organisations, or government education systems is highly desirable.
Skills
· Strong expertise in Experiential Learning, Project-Based Learning (PBL), inquiry-based learning, and child-centred pedagogy.
· Strong understanding of curriculum design, competency-based education, classroom assessment, and project facilitation.
· Excellent training, facilitation, mentoring, coaching, planning, documentation, and reporting skills.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills in Kannada; working knowledge of English is desirable.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively assigned schools, blocks .
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence and willingness to travel within the project area.
- Passion for transforming classroom practices and improving children's learning experiences.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire field teams while working independently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
