Job Summary
Oxymed Hospital, Chennai is looking for a qualified Dietician to join our team. You will be responsible for planning healthy meal charts, checking on inpatient diets daily, and advising patients on food choices that help them recover quickly.
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Nutritional Assessments: Evaluate the nutritional status of both inpatients (IP) and outpatients (OP) by reviewing medical history, laboratory data, and dietary habits.
- Diet Plan Customization: Design personalized therapeutic diet charts for various medical conditions, including cardiovascular recovery, diabetes management, renal care, and weight management.
- Inpatient Care: Conduct daily ward rounds to monitor patient dietary intake, coordinate with the kitchen team for accurate meal preparation, and adjust nutrition plans as necessary.
- Patient Counseling: Educate patients and their families on post-discharge dietary guidelines, portion control, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Compliance: Ensure all dietary practices and documentation comply with hospital guidelines and quality accreditation standards (such as NABH).
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of clinical or hospital experience is preferred. Freshers with strong internship experience in a hospital setting are also welcome to apply.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to counsel patients effectively, with fluency in Tamil and English.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
