Job Summary:
The Radiology Typist is responsible for accurately transcribing and typing radiology reports and other related documents from audio recordings or written drafts. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, excellent typing speed, and proficiency in medical terminology, particularly in radiology.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcription and Typing:
- Transcribe dictated recordings from radiologists and other medical professionals into written reports.
- Type radiology reports, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging reports.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transcribed documents.
Editing and Proofreading:
- Proofread and edit transcriptions for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and medical accuracy.
- Ensure all radiology reports comply with departmental and hospital standards.
Document Management:
- Organize and maintain radiology files and records, both digital and physical.
- Ensure timely and secure distribution of radiology reports to the appropriate departments and medical staff.
- Assist in the preparation and management of electronic health records (EHR).
Communication:
- Coordinate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to clarify information and ensure report accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from medical staff regarding the status of radiology reports.
Pay: ₹17,837.52 - ₹30,004.00 per month
