The VP of Sales, APAC is responsible for crafting and delivering sales strategies in the region, aligning with global priorities to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Develop and implement the APAC sales strategy, ensuring alignment with international objectives with a focus on emerging and high-growth segments
Drive sales growth by achieving sales quotas with key accounts through both direct and distribution channels, including executive sponsorship for major OEMs and end-users
Define and optimize the Go-To-Market strategy, including the mix of representative agencies, DSO, channel strategy, and key account strategy
Ensure cross-functional teamwork with global product category teams, marketing, customer care, pricing, global account, and operations teams to achieve strategic goals
Partner with leaders in sales, product, marketing, operations, and customer success to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and coordination of activities
Drive excellence in key sales processes and establish regular business review cadences to ensure forecast accuracy and predictability of business results, with strong revenue and pipeline management skills
Provide regular business updates, including bowling charts, forecasts, and scorecards, to senior management
Lead, mentor and empower the Sales team to the journey of becoming one nVent in APAC
YOU HAVE:
Ideally a background in electrical engineering or industrial automation
Previous experience in industrial sales, mainly in the low-voltage sector, locally & international, a proven track record of managing sales greater than $100M.
Experience with SF.Com or MS dynamics is a must.
Experience in leading teams, change management, strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner
Proven ability to work in an international context
Great negotiating skills, used in collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and tact both internally and externally in a selling environment
Minimum 10 years of industrial experience in automation, electrical components, or power systems
Proven track record of managing cross-cultural teams
Ability to work 100% in a remote office and travel on average 50% of the time
