Job Description
An EMT Technician provides emergency medical care to injured or ill patients and assists in transporting them safely to healthcare facilities. The role involves assessing patient conditions, administering basic life support, operating emergency equipment, and maintaining accurate patient records. EMTs work closely with paramedics, nurses, physicians, and other emergency responders.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.
- Assess patient conditions and provide initial treatment.
- Administer first aid, CPR, oxygen therapy, and other basic life support procedures.
- Safely transport patients to hospitals or healthcare facilities.
- Monitor patients during transport and report changes in condition.
- Operate and maintain ambulances and emergency medical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, firefighters, and law enforcement personnel.
- Complete patient care reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Emergency & Trauma Care Technology (B.Sc. ETCT).
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Emergency Medicine
- Trained in patient assessment, emergency response, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) principles, trauma stabilization, and ambulance operations.
- Knowledge of emergency patient assessment, trauma management, basic and advanced life support principles, pre-hospital care, and emergency medical procedures.
- Trained in emergency response, patient stabilization, ambulance services, and critical care support.
- Familiarity with medical equipment, emergency protocols, infection control practices, and healthcare documentation.
- Restock medical supplies and ensure equipment is clean and functional.
- Follow safety, infection-control, and healthcare regulations.
Pay: From ₹17,000.00 per month
