Job Summary
The Data Entry Operator / Computer Operator is responsible for accurately entering, maintaining, and updating company records while ensuring the smooth operation of office computer systems. The role includes data management, document preparation, report generation, record maintenance, and providing basic technical support to ensure efficient day-to-day business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain data in ERP, accounting software, spreadsheets, and company databases.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data before entry.
- Prepare reports, MIS, spreadsheets, and other business documents as required.
- Maintain digital and physical records in an organized and secure manner.
- Generate periodic reports for management and various departments.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and error correction.
- Operate office computers, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in document scanning, printing, photocopying, and digitization.
- Coordinate with various departments for data collection, verification, and reporting.
- Ensure timely backup and proper maintenance of digital records.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and sensitive business data.
- Assist in general administrative and office-related activities as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good typing speed with a high level of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of ERP/accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Busy, or similar applications.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate or Diploma in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, or any related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in data entry, computer operations, or office administration.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
