Job Summary :
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital facilities, equipment, and utility systems. The role ensures that all maintenance activities comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and healthcare standards while minimizing downtime and maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of hospital buildings and equipment.
- Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and carry out timely corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Monitor and maintain utility systems such as water supply, generators, UPS, medical gas support systems (where applicable), and air-conditioning systems.
- Conduct regular checks on fire safety equipment and emergency systems.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers during maintenance work.
- Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are used safely and kept in good condition.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment when required.
- Participate in emergency response and on-call maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Candidates with C-license and B-license have an added advantage.
