Position: Dance Teacher
Reports To: Principal / Vice Principal
Job Summary:
The Dance Teacher is responsible for planning and conducting engaging dance classes, developing students’ movement and performance skills, and preparing students for school events, competitions, and cultural programs. The teacher fosters creativity, confidence, discipline, and a love for dance in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance lessons for students.
Teach various dance forms (such as classical, folk, contemporary, western, or creative movement, as required by the school).
Choreograph performances for annual day, cultural celebrations, competitions, assemblies, and special events.
Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
Encourage participation, teamwork, confidence, and stage presence.
Ensure student safety during practice sessions and performances.
Maintain discipline and positive classroom management.
Coordinate costumes, props, music, and rehearsal schedules for performances.
Collaborate with class teachers and school coordinators for event planning.
Maintain attendance records and lesson plans.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma/certification in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.
Formal training in one or more recognized dance styles.
Prior teaching experience in a school or dance academy is preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
