Job Purpose
The Senior Billing Engineer will be responsible for managing project billing, quantity measurements, preparation and submission of client bills, subcontractor bills, quantity reconciliation, rate analysis, and commercial documentation. The role requires close coordination with the Project, Planning, QS, Contracts, Purchase, and Accounts teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and revenue realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare RA Bills (Running Account Bills) based on actual work completed at the project site.
- Take and verify site measurements for civil, structural, finishing, and other construction works.
- Prepare client bills, subcontractor bills, and work completion bills as per approved BOQ and contract conditions.
- Verify quantities executed at site against BOQ, drawings, specifications, and approved work orders.
- Prepare Measurement Sheets (MS), Abstract Sheets, and Bill Summary Sheets.
- Coordinate with the Site Execution and QA/QC teams for measurement verification and certification.
- Prepare and submit monthly progress bills to clients within the scheduled timelines.
- Check and certify subcontractor bills based on actual work executed and approved measurements.
- Verify extra items, deviation items, variation orders, and additional works.
- Prepare Rate Analysis for extra and non-BOQ items.
- Maintain records of approved BOQ, amendments, work orders, rate revisions, and variation statements.
- Prepare quantity reconciliation for major construction materials such as cement, steel, concrete, blocks, and other materials, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with the client, consultant, PMC, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding billing and measurement-related matters.
- Follow up on bill certification and payment status with the client and commercial team.
- Maintain proper records of certified bills, deductions, recoveries, retention, advances, and statutory deductions.
- Assist in preparing monthly cost and revenue reports and project commercial MIS.
- Monitor work progress and ensure billing is aligned with actual site progress.
- Identify billing discrepancies and resolve measurement and quantity-related issues.
- Ensure all billing documentation complies with contract terms and project procedures.
- Support the Project Manager and Commercial/Contracts team during client meetings, billing discussions, and commercial negotiations.
- Assist during final billing, project closure, and final account settlement.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in construction billing and quantity surveying.
- Strong experience in residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or data centre construction projects.
- Good knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, measurements, RA Bills, quantity reconciliation, and contract conditions.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of billing and project management software will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate
Candidates with 7–10 years of hands-on experience in construction project billing, particularly those who have independently handled client billing, subcontractor billing, measurements, BOQ, rate analysis, variations, and final billing, will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
