What does a Technical Lead do at WPP Production?
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Lead with deep expertise in Sitecore XM Cloud and the broader Sitecore composable ecosystem. As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping digital experience platforms, leading engineering teams, and driving the technical delivery of enterprise-scale solutions. You will provide technical leadership across Sitecore XM Cloud, Sitecore AI, Headless SXA, Experience Edge, Next.js, and composable architecture patterns. The role requires a strong focus on solution architecture, technical governance, integration strategy, and the adoption of AI-driven content and personalization capabilities.

Key Role Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and support across Sitecore XM Cloud and composable DXP implementations.
Drive the technical direction, solution architecture, and implementation strategy for Sitecore XM Cloud, Headless SXA, Next.js, and composable digital experience platforms.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, security requirements, and quality assurance processes across all phases of delivery.
Design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications using modern technologies such as Next.js, React, .NET, and cloud-native services.
Lead the implementation of Sitecore XM Cloud solutions, leveraging Experience Edge, Headless Services, and modern front-end frameworks.
Design and develop APIs, integrations, microservices, and event-driven solutions to support composable architectures and enterprise digital ecosystems.
Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure seamless integration between Sitecore XM Cloud, external services, and customer-facing digital experiences.
Demonstrate strong expertise across the Sitecore ecosystem, including XM Cloud, Headless SXA, Experience Edge, Sitecore AI, Personalize, Search, and Content Hub.
Drive the adoption of Sitecore AI capabilities to improve content creation, content operations, search experiences, personalization, and digital engagement.
Stay current with emerging trends in composable architecture, AI-powered digital experiences, cloud technologies, and the Sitecore product roadmap.
Provide technical leadership and recommendations on architecture patterns, platform capabilities, scalability, security, and long-term technology strategy.
Work closely with delivery managers and project managers to define scope, timelines, resource requirements, and technical dependencies.
Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise standards.
Support solutioning, and RFP activities by defining technical approaches, estimating effort, creating solution architectures, and presenting solutions to stakeholders.
Key Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Full Stack Engineer, or Solution Architect delivering enterprise-scale digital experience platforms.
Strong expertise in Sitecore XM Cloud and/or Umbraco CMS, including headless and composable architecture implementations.
Experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications using modern development practices.
Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
Strong experience with .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, and server-side application development.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Solid understanding of composable architecture principles, headless CMS implementations, and API-first development.
Experience integrating CMS platforms with third-party systems, enterprise applications, and cloud services.
Good understanding of content modelling, personalization, search, analytics, and digital experience optimization.
Experience with Sitecore XM Cloud capabilities such as Headless SXA, Experience Edge, Sitecore AI, Personalize, Search, and Content Hub is highly desirable.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing.
Experience with source control and development tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
Understanding of security best practices, application performance, scalability, and enterprise governance.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
Strong stakeholder management, client-facing communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
Experience conducting architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and code reviews.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Experience supporting RFP responses, technical estimations, and solution presentations is desirable.
