Inspector Scope
1) Attending PIM
2) Inspector to ensure availability of Purchase Order, QAP, Drawing, Procedures at the time of inspection
3) Inspector to approve QAP, Performance test procedure, Pressure test procedure, PMI Procedure, PWHT Procedure,
4) Review WPS/PQR/Welder Qualification
5) Qualification of new WPS
6) Inspector to ensure raw material shall be from approved suppliers
7) Inspector to ensure Material test certificates to comply with edition mentioned in MR, Drawing, QAP
8) Inspector to verify calibration record of measuring and testing equipment
9) Stage wise inspection of equipment, Piping bulk items, structures
10) Inspector to ensure availability of statutory certificates for CCOE, CMRI, BS, IBR, NBR,
U stamping as per project requirement and purchase requisition
11) Witness mechanical and chemical, Metallurgical tests at laboratory
12) Fit up check, Weld visual inspection
13) Witness of NDT, Hydrostatic pressure test, Painted surface inspection
14) Witness PWHT
15) Inspector to perform remote inspection in case travel constraint
16) Inspector to check spare items with ref. to BOM
17) Inspector to review as built drawing and test reports
18) Inspector to issue Flash report and Inspection report/IRN
19) Monitoring preparation of MRB during visit at supplier end
20) NCR to be raised for Nonconformity found during inspection.
21) Inspector to send Fortnightly Inspection status
22) Inspector to send 3 months look ahead inspection schedule
