Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Tool Design Engineer to design and develop injection molds, compression molds, stamping, forming, bending, and die-cast tools for electro-mechanical products. The candidate will be responsible for tool design, product development, prototyping, testing, validation, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop molds, press tools, and die-cast tools.
- Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Support product design, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing teams for tool development.
- Analyze test results and implement design improvements.
- Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
Required Skills
- Experience in injection mold, compression mold, press tool, and die-cast tool design.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of engineering plastics, metals, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, ISO standards, and Poka-Yoke concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Industry Experience
Electrical controlgear, switchgear, industrial automation, electro-mechanical products, tooling, mold manufacturing, or precision engineering industries.
