- Minimum 2 years experience in aluminium foundry
1. Machine Operation & Supervision
- Operate and monitor shot blasting machines (tumble type, hanger type, table type).
- Ensure proper machine settings like speed, shot flow, and cycle time.
- Perform routine checks before starting the machine.
2. Production Management
- Plan daily shot blasting activities as per production schedule.
- Ensure timely cleaning of aluminium castings.
- Maintain production targets and minimize delays.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect blasted components for proper surface finish.
- Ensure removal of sand, scale, burrs, and oxidation.
- Identify defects and coordinate with production/quality team.
4. Manpower Handling
- Supervise and guide shot blasting operators and helpers.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor worker performance.
- Train workers on correct blasting techniques.
5. Maintenance & Equipment Care
- Check and maintain machine parts (blades, liners, filters, shot media).
- Report breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance team.
- Ensure proper storage and usage of shot material (steel shots/grit).
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure workers use PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, mask).
- Follow safety procedures to prevent dust exposure and injuries.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production reports.
- Record machine maintenance and breakdown details.
- Track shot consumption and machine efficiency.
