Role Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Intern to support the design, development, testing, and improvement of mechanical components and assemblies for our kitchen automation products. The role offers hands-on exposure to product design, prototyping, materials research, tolerance checks, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Support 3D modelling & design in SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Creo
Assist in creating CAD models, drawings, and BOMs
Participate in mechanism development, part tolerance analysis and design improvements
Prototype parts using 3D printing and CNC machining in collaboration with the in-house lab and external vendors
Assist in DFM/DFA, material selection and vendor coordination
Support system assembly, testing and field trials for components and sub-systems
Document test results, observations and improvement recommendations
Work with cross-functional teams including Embedded, Production and Manufacturing
Requirements
Must-Have
Pursuing a B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Manufacturing Engineering
Strong fundamentals in machine design & mechanisms
Hands-on experience with CAD software
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, machining, etc.)
Good problem-solving and analytical mindset
Good to Have (Plus Points)
Experience with SolidWorks Motion / FEA
Exposure to 3D printing / rapid prototyping
Experience in consumer product design
Knowledge of GD&T
