Job Summary
Gujarat Electroplating Works is seeking an experienced Production & Planning Head to oversee day-to-day production operations, production planning, manpower allocation, dispatch coordination, and workflow management across our electroplating and metal finishing facility.
The role requires a proactive individual capable of ensuring smooth production flow, meeting delivery commitments, coordinating with customers and internal departments, and driving productivity improvements on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Production planning and scheduling based on customer requirements and delivery commitments.
- Monitoring daily production activities and ensuring adherence to production targets.
- Planning and allocation of manpower across various production processes.
- Coordination between production, quality, dispatch, stores, and management.
- Preparation and maintenance of production plans, work orders, production reports, and status trackers.
- Monitoring WIP (Work-in-Progress) and ensuring timely movement of material through all process stages.
- Daily review of pending orders, production bottlenecks, and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring proper job prioritization and production sequencing.
- Supervision of shop-floor personnel and maintenance of production discipline.
- Coordination with customers regarding delivery schedules, production status, and urgent requirements.
- Monitoring productivity, efficiency, rejection levels, and process performance.
- Maintaining production records, dispatch records, and related documentation.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions.
- Daily reporting to management regarding production performance, pending orders, capacity utilisation, and operational challenges.
Preferred Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in:
- Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Manufacturing Operations
- Electroplating or Surface Finishing Industry
- Engineering Job Work Industry
- Fabrication, Machining, Automotive Components, or Process Manufacturing
Desired Skills
- Strong production planning and scheduling skills.
- Ability to manage manpower and shop-floor operations.
- Good understanding of manufacturing workflows and process control.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple customer requirements simultaneously.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
