Key responsibilities:
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance; maintain checklists and machine history.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic faults.
- Maintain and service sewing machines, setting machines, AMS machines, and other production equipment.
- Install, commission, and relocate machines; ensure alignment and testing.
- Manage utilities: air compressors, DG sets, pumps, panels, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Manage spare parts (requisitioning, minimum stocks, inventory verification).
- Coordinate vendors/contractors and supervise specialized repairs.
- Support production during runs and prioritize critical breakdowns.
- Ensure safety compliance (LOTO, PPE) and maintain maintenance records.
- Drive reliability improvements to reduce MTTR and increase MTBF; monitor maintenance KPIs and utility consumption.
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in leather manufacturing maintenance only.
- Hands-on expertise with sewing machines, setting machines, AMS programming, and related production equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems, spare management, and vendor coordination.
- Good communication and ability to work with production teams
