Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and people-oriented Workshop Facilitator to design, coordinate, and conduct engaging workshops across various art forms and creative disciplines. The facilitator will play a key role in creating memorable experiences, ensuring smooth workshop execution, and fostering a welcoming environment for participants. The role combines workshop delivery, community engagement, event coordination, and artist support.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate art, craft, music, film, wellness, and creative learning workshops.
- Coordinate with artists, instructors, and guest facilitators.
- Welcome participants and ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage workshop logistics, registrations, materials, and setup.
- Assist in developing new workshop concepts and community programs.
- Encourage participant engagement, creativity, and collaboration.
- Document workshops through photos, videos, and participant feedback.
- Support social media content creation and event promotion.
- Maintain workshop supplies, equipment, and studio spaces.
- Collect feedback and prepare post-event reports for continuous improvement.
- Assist in organizing exhibitions, screenings, performances, and cultural events hosted by SomeArt.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong public speaking and group facilitation abilities.
- Passion for arts, culture, and creative education.
- Event coordination and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Basic photography, videography, or social media skills are a plus.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Fine Arts, Design, Performing Arts, Education, Psychology, or related fields.
- Experience conducting workshops, teaching, training, or community engagement activities.
- Experience working with diverse age groups and audiences.
- Knowledge of creative learning methodologies and experiential education.
