Job Summary
The Sales Engineer – ELV & BMS is responsible for promoting and selling ELV and Building Management System solutions, identifying business opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting customer presentations, and achieving sales targets. The role acts as a bridge between customers, technical teams, and project execution teams to ensure successful project acquisition and customer satisfaction.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in ELV and BMS markets.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, consultants, contractors, and direct customer visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and developers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Technical Sales & Solution Development
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable ELV and BMS solutions.
- Conduct site visits and technical discussions with clients.
- Coordinate with engineering teams for system design and solution preparation.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
Proposal & Tender Management
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for pricing and technical information.
- Submit quotations and tenders within specified deadlines.
Customer Relationship Management
- Follow up on submitted quotations and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contract conditions.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Resolve customer concerns and provide timely support.
Sales Closing & Commercial Activities
- Convert opportunities into confirmed sales orders.
- Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders and contracts.
- Coordinate with finance for invoicing and payment follow-up.
- Support collection of outstanding payments from customers.
Project Handover & Coordination
- Coordinate with project and operations teams after order confirmation.
- Ensure smooth project handover from sales to execution.
- Monitor project progress and support customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in obtaining project completion and customer acceptance certificates.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain CRM and sales pipeline records.
- Prepare sales forecasts and progress reports.
- Track quotations, opportunities, orders, and revenue.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales activity reports.

Qualification:
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in ELV, BMS, Automation, Security Systems, or MEP sales.
Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
