Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation planning, customs clearance, truck placement, and shipment execution.
Ensure timely vehicle availability and proactive resolution of transportation challenges to avoid service failures.
Monitor all trucking requests received from customers and ensure timely quotation submissions as per agreed turnaround times.
Maintain real time visibility of shipment movements and communicate operational updates to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure smooth functioning of the transport desk and transportation operations.
Coordinate with vendors for transportation arrangements, E-Way Bill generation, empty container drop-off, and related logistics activities.
Identify, onboard, and negotiate with transporters, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with service standards and contractual obligations.
Drive vendor performance improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives across logistics operations.
Ensure inventory accuracy across all distribution centres (DCs).
Monitor distribution operations and ensure smooth execution within the Transportation Management System (TMS) environment.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational best practices.
Ensure operational compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate effectively with customers, vendors, customs agents, transporters, warehouse teams, finance, and internal stakeholders.
Communicate operational challenges, service disruptions, and resolution plans proactively.
Ensure all stakeholders are updated on shipment status, exceptions, and critical operational developments.
Raise system enhancement requirements and coordinate implementation to improve transportation and service delivery processes.
Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
Support organizational growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline. Preferably MBA.
4–8 years of experience in logistics operations, transportation management, customs clearance, customer service, or supply chain operations.
Strong understanding of EXIM documentation, customs clearance procedures, transportation management, billing processes, and customer service operations.
Hands-on experience with TMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
