Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with a positive attitude and genuine hospitality
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timely seating
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and fostering guest relations
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems.
- Proven organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude
