We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Technical Business Development Engineer to identify new business opportunities, understand industrial customer requirements, build strong customer relationships, and support business expansion across engineering and industrial sectors.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting with OEMs, manufacturing companies, system integrators, industrial distributors, and engineering teams. This role requires regular customer visits, technical discussions, market understanding, and converting opportunities into long-term business relationships.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong engineering mindset, and the ability to understand industrial applications and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit industrial customers, OEMs, manufacturing companies, and engineering firms.
- Understand customer applications, technical requirements, and procurement processes.
- Identify new business opportunities across industrial products and engineering solutions.
- Build relationships with Purchase, Design, Production, Maintenance, and Project teams.
- Generate qualified enquiries (RFQs), follow up on opportunities, and support order conversion.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence regarding new products, customer requirements, and industry trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for technical and commercial proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
- Represent the company during customer meetings, industrial exhibitions, and technical discussions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.
- 2–8 years of experience in technical sales, industrial marketing, application engineering, product management, sourcing, procurement, or business development.
- Good understanding of industrial products and manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently manage customer visits and business development activities.
- Willingness to travel regularly.
