Job Summary
The Demi Chef de Partie (Chinese) is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Chinese cuisine while ensuring consistency, quality, and hygiene standards. The role supports the CDP in daily kitchen operations and smooth service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes including starters, mains, sauces, and accompaniments
- Assist in mise en place and ensure timely food preparation during service
- Maintain quality, taste, portion control, and presentation as per standards
- Follow authentic Chinese cooking techniques and recipes
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Assist in supervising Commis staff in the Chinese section
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
- Assist in stock control, storage, and reduction of food wastage
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth operations
Requirements & Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Chinese cuisine in a hotel or standalone restaurant
- Knowledge of Indo-Chinese and/or authentic Chinese cooking styles
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualification
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹29,000.00 per month
