Roles & Responsibilities:
· Create accurate and detailed CAM models and technical drawings for parts, assemblies, or structures based on design specifications.
· Use CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid CAM) to generate 2D and 3D models for manufacturing or construction processes.
· Write and modify CAM software programs to automate design processes, improve efficiency, and ensure high accuracy in designs.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to CNC programming, tooling, and machine operations.
· Ensure CNC machines are calibrated and perform optimally during production.
· Review initial designs, make revisions, and ensure that they comply with standards, project requirements, and client needs.
· Ensure that all CAM designs comply with industry standards, project requirements, and relevant regulations.
· Work closely with design engineers, product designers, and other team members to review designs, resolve production issues, and adjust programming as needed.
· Identify and resolve any issues in the CAM design and production process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
Skills:
· Strong understanding of CNC machines, CAM software (such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM), and machining techniques.
· Proficient in using CAM programming software, CAD programs, and general computer tools.
· Ability to produce high-precision designs while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
· Previous experience working in CAD programming or related fields is often required.
· Ability to develop 3D models and animations for presentations or client demonstrations.
· Strong math skills for calculations, measurements, and programming.
