Factory All Team Handling For Carpenter
A production supervisor manages the production floor to ensure that processes run smoothly and safely. Their responsibilities include:
- Planning and schedulingSet daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and assign tasks and prepare schedules
- Training and coachingTrain new employees on how to use machinery safely and follow procedures, and coach employees on how to improve their performance
- Quality controlVerify that production output meets specifications, and ensure that quality control standards are met
- SafetyEnsure that safety guidelines are followed, and oversee the safe use of equipment
- Inventory managementTrack and control the stock of materials and finished goods to ensure a smooth production process
- TroubleshootingIdentify issues and suggest improvements to efficiency, quality, and safety
- ReportingPrepare reports on performance and progress, and present them to senior managers
- MaintenanceSchedule regular equipment maintenance, and coordinate with maintenance staff to make sure repairs are done
Production supervisors typically have a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, and strong communication, management, and problem-solving skills. They may also need to be flexible and able to work long hours.
