Position Overview
We are seeking a sharp, high-performing Sales & Trading Manager to drive our bulk chemical portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine strong B2B industrial sales acumen with deep technical knowledge of international trade, import logistics, and trade finance to maximize trading margins in a high-volume, fast-moving market.
Key Responsibilities
- Bulk Sales & Business Development: Drive high-volume sales of bulk solvents and petrochemicals (tankers and ISO tanks) to industrial end-users and domestic distributors.
- Import & International Trade Execution: Manage the mechanics of chemical imports, including container/vessel tracking, custom clearance coordination, and structural trade plays like switching Bills of Lading (BLs) for cross-border or high-seas sales.
- Trade Finance & Risk Management: Structure transactions utilizing Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and active bank lines. Closely monitor FX rates and currency exposure to protect deal margins from volatility.
- Market Intelligence & Arbitrage: Track global feedstock trends, import parity pricing, and domestic supply-demand gaps to spot profitable trading opportunities.
- Commercial Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end deal cycle: quote generation, contract negotiation, credit limit evaluation, and timely payment collections.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years in bulk chemical trading, petrochemical sales, or international chemical sourcing.
- Core Competencies: Strong command of trade finance (LCs, DP/DA terms, bank lines), import logistics (shipping terms, BL manipulation, high-seas sales), and FX risk mitigation.
- Network: Active, pre-existing relationships with procurement heads in the pharmaceutical, paint, ink, or polymer industries.
- Education: Graduate in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or International Business. An MBA is an advantage.
- Skills: Aggressive negotiation style, sharp financial acumen, and the agility to act fast in a volatile commodity pricing environment.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
