Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop CNC programs for VMC machines using CAM software or manual programming.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Perform machine setup and prove-out of new programs.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and reduce machining time.
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary program modifications.
- Ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and design teams for process improvements.
- Maintain program backups and documentation.
- Monitor tool life and recommend tooling improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and 5S standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train machine operators on program execution and setup requirements.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of VMC machining processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar controls).
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM, or Powermill.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Qualification:
- Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or ITI with relevant experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in VMC programming and machining operations (as per company requirements).
Pay: ₹356,545.20 - ₹1,290,981.80 per year
