Position Title: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Locum

Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) for Locum Duty in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department. The candidate should have relevant clinical experience in managing obstetric and gynaecological patients efficiently, including emergency handling, ward management, and coordination with consultants and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage OPD, IPD, emergency and labour room patients under the guidance of consultants.
- Conduct initial assessment, clinical examination, and stabilisation of gynaecology and obstetric patients.
- Monitor antenatal, postnatal and high-risk pregnancy cases.
- Assist consultants during normal deliveries, caesarean sections and gynecological procedures.
- Handle emergency situations related to obstetrics and gynecology promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate medical records, case sheets, discharge summaries and treatment documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with nursing staff, ICU, OT, laboratory and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Ensure timely follow-up of investigations and treatment plans.
- Attend emergency calls and provide immediate medical care during assigned shifts.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, NABH guidelines, infection control practices and patient safety standards.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, attendants and hospital staff.
Eligibility Criteria
- Valid State Medical Council / NMC Registration.
- Experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department preferred.
- Candidates with experience in Labour Room and Emergency Management will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Sound clinical knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Ability to manage patients efficiently during emergency and routine clinical duties.
- Good decision-making and patient management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and emergency situations.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in OBG / Gynecology Department preferred.
- Freshers with relevant departmental exposure may also apply for locum duties.
