Job Description – Project Engineer - Defence Projects

About the Role
John Galt International is executing prestigious engineering projects involving manufacturing, inspection, installation and commissioning for Government and Defence customers.
We are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to take ownership of project execution by coordinating with customers, inspection agencies, site teams, vendors and internal departments to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical understanding, excellent coordination skills and the ability to proactively resolve execution bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project execution from manufacturing through final commissioning.
- Act as the primary interface between the customer, project sites and the factory.
- Liaise with inspection agencies, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure timely inspections, approvals and clearances.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Purchase, Stores, Planning and Site teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor project schedules, identify delays and drive timely closure of pending actions.
- Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, progress updates and customer correspondence.
- Track technical queries, documentation, inspection status and project milestones.
- Support project planning, risk identification and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Travel to customer locations and project sites as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–7 years' experience in project execution, preferably in heavy engineering, defence, EPC or industrial projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Salary - Upto 50k per month
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
