Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rasipalayam, Sulur, Coimbatore for a Logistics Executive. The Logistics Executive will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, managing supply chain processes, and ensuring smooth transportation and delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Driver Coordination:
- Oversee and assign duties to all company or contracted drivers.
- Maintain an updated driver roster with shift schedules, contact details, and route plans.
- Ensure driver compliance with safety standards, delivery protocols, and company policies.
- Monitor driver performance and provide feedback or support as needed.
Load documentation and closure responsibility
- Immediately after completion of loading, the Employee must generate the LR (Lorry Receipt) using the company’s internal tool without delay.
- The Employee must ensure that all load details are accurately updated in the shared Excel sheet.
- By the end of each month, the shared Excel sheet must be fully updated, verified, and reconciled, and submitted to management along with supporting documents.
- Incomplete entries, missing documentation, or unclosed loads without valid explanation will be considered a lapse in responsibility.
POD Management:
- Collect, verify, and maintain Proof of Deliveries from both in-house and market vehicles.
- Ensure timely submission of PODs to relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up on missing or incorrect documentation and resolve issues promptly.
Vendor & Client Coordination:
- Liaise with transport vendors, internal teams, and brand partners to ensure smooth logistics execution.
- Serve as a single point of contact for transport-related queries and escalations.
- Resolve delays, vehicle issues, or documentation discrepancies in a timely manner.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all vehicle and driver operations are compliant with transport regulations and internal SOPs.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, vendor performance, POD status, and billing.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management
- Proficiency in Customer Service and effective Communication
- Experience or ability in Sales-related tasks and fostering client relationships
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in the logistics or supply chain sector is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kurumbapalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
