The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the complete manufacturing operations of breakfast products such as ready-to-cook, ready-to-eat or traditional breakfast products
A. Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales and dispatch requirements.
- Plan production according to product demand, raw material availability, manpower, and machine capacity.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time.
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Stores, QC, and Dispatch teams for smooth production operations.
- Plan batch sizes and production schedules to minimize downtime and wastage.
B. Breakfast Product Manufacturing
- Supervise the complete manufacturing process from raw material preparation to finished product packing.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved recipes, formulations, SOPs, and specifications.
- Monitor critical production parameters such as mixing, grinding, cooking, steaming, frying, cooling, freezing, portioning, packing, and storage, depending on the product.
- Ensure consistency in product taste, texture, appearance, weight, and quality.
- Maintain proper batch identification and traceability.
C. Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
- Coordinate with the QC/QA team for raw material, in-process, and finished product inspections.
- Ensure production areas, equipment, and employees maintain required hygiene standards.
- Prevent contamination and cross-contamination.
- Investigate production-related quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure products are released only after meeting required quality standards.
D. Raw Material Management
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor consumption of ingredients according to approved recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Monitor raw material wastage, rejection, and variance.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed wherever applicable.
F. Manpower Management
- Plan manpower requirements based on production volume.
- Allocate workers and supervisors effectively.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance.
- Train employees on production procedures, hygiene, GMP, safety, and SOPs.
- Develop Production Supervisors and Operators for better performance.
- Ensure proper shift planning and handover.
G. Machine & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper operation of production machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor machine downtime and production losses.
- Ensure equipment cleaning and sanitation are completed as per schedule.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine utilization and production capacity.
G. Machine & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper operation of production machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor machine downtime and production losses.
- Ensure equipment cleaning and sanitation are completed as per schedule.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine utilization and production capacity.
4. Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Processing, Production Engineering, or related field.
- Candidates with relevant experience in food manufacturing may also be considered.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, food safety, and hygiene is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems is an advantage.
5. Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in food manufacturing/FMCG production.
- Experience in breakfast foods, ready-to-cook products, ready-to-eat foods, frozen foods, traditional food products, or similar food-processing operations will be preferred.
Experience in handling production teams and multiple production processes is preferred.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
