Machine Setup: Prepare and set up Vertical Machining Centre’s according to job specifications.Install and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and work pieces for machining.
Operation: Operate VMCs to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, and tapping. Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed.
Quality Control: Inspect machined parts for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.Use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with the machining process.Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Programming (Optional): Depending on the complexity of the machining center, some VMC operators may be involved in programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with company policies and procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks. Report any deviations or issues to supervisors.
