Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the design team by assigning daily tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely project completion.
Review and verify CAD models and engineering drawings for dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, GD&T, assembly fitment, and compliance with customer requirements.
Coordinate CAD and CAM activities by validating CNC/VMC programs, tooling compatibility, machining feasibility, and optimized production processes.
Plan and distribute machine shop workloads to maximize machine utilization, reduce idle time, and meet delivery schedules.
Supervise CNC/VMC programming, machine setups, tool offsets, and work offsets to ensure accurate and efficient machining operations.
Conduct in-process machining inspections and verify critical dimensions and surface quality before unloading components to minimize rework and scrap.
Monitor quality control activities, review inspection reports, and maintain strict control over precision grinding operations, surface finish, and dimensional compliance.
Coordinate communication between design, CAM, machine shop, and QC teams while reporting production issues, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to management.
