Key Responsibilities1. Store & Inventory Management
- Manage day-to-day activities of the Stores Department.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, identification, and issuance of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, electronic components, electrical components, finished goods, consumables, spare parts, and packaging materials.
- Ensure proper binning, labelling, and systematic storage of materials.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and highlight shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
2. Material Inward & Outward
- Supervise material inward activities and verify quantities against Purchase Orders, invoices, delivery challans, and material documents.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, Production, Accounts, and other departments for material receipt and clearance.
- Ensure proper GRN/MRN preparation and system entry.
- Control material issuance to Production and other departments against authorized requests.
- Maintain proper records for material transfers, returns, rejections, and replacements.
3. Inventory Control
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with ERP/system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare stock statements and inventory reports for management.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, excess, obsolete, and damaged materials.
- Ensure proper segregation and documentation of rejected and damaged materials.
- Maintain traceability of materials through proper batch/lot/serial number records wherever required.
4. Production Support
- Coordinate with the Production Department to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Review material requirements and communicate shortages to the concerned departments.
- Ensure uninterrupted production by maintaining adequate stock of critical components.
- Support production planning through timely material availability updates.
5. Team Management
- Supervise and allocate work to Store Executives, Store Assistants, Helpers, and other store personnel.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and work quality of the Stores team.
- Train team members on store procedures, safety, material handling, and documentation.
- Ensure proper shift handover and accountability.
6. ERP & Documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of all store transactions in the ERP/Inventory Management System.
- Maintain records of GRN/MRN, material issue slips, transfer notes, return notes, stock registers, and other relevant documents.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit and statutory requirements.
7. Safety & 5S
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices within the Stores area.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of electrical/electronic components and other materials.
- Maintain clear identification of storage locations and movement areas.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and material-handling guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Operations, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Stores, Inventory, Warehouse, or Material Management.
- Experience in manufacturing / electrical / electronics / solar / power electronics industry will be preferred.
