We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support our finance department. In this role, you will handle daily accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with standard bookkeeping procedures. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong mathematical skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Financial Data Entry & Bookkeeping
- Accurately enter daily financial transactions, invoices, and expenses into the accounting system.
- Maintain and update general ledgers, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
- Process payments, verify receipts, and handle petty cash management.
2. Reconciliations & Documentation
- Perform routine bank reconciliations to ensure internal records match bank statements.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized and secure digital and physical filing system for all financial documents.
3. Reporting & Compliance Support
- Assist the senior accountant in preparing weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide necessary documentation and support during standard tax filings and audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an accounting
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Core Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial data with integrity.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
