The Jr. Engineer/ Engineer Production is responsible for overseeing daily production activities for AC and DC electric vehicle chargers, ensuring targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The role includes manpower supervision, process control, coordination with quality and stores, and adherence to production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Supervise day-to-day manufacturing operations of AC & DC EV chargers
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan
- Monitor assembly, testing, wiring, and final inspection processes
- Optimize workflow to improve productivity and reduce downtime
Team Supervision
- Lead and manage shop-floor technicians, operators, and contract labor
- Assign work, monitor performance, and provide on-job guidance
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and proper shift handovers
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet quality standards, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with Quality team to resolve defects and rework issues
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, EHS norms, and 5S practices
- Promote safe handling of electrical and electronic components
- Ensure proper use of PPE on the shop floor
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Quality, and Maintenance teams
- Ensure availability of materials and components
- Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, and rejection data
Continuous Improvement
- Support process improvement initiatives
- Assist in implementation of SOPs and work instructions
- Participate in audits and improvement projects
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of AC & DC EV charger assembly
- Understanding of power electronics, electrical wiring, and testing
- Familiarity with tools, jigs, and testing equipment
- Basic understanding of BOM, drawings, and SOPs
Soft Skills
- Leadership and team-handling skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Software Skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reports, ERP – preferred)
Preferred Industry Experience
- EV charging equipment
- Power electronics

- Automotive or EV industry
Experience
2–3 years in manufacturing/production supervision (electronics, power electronics, EV, or electrical equipment preferred)
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
