The Product Manager Procurement is accountable for the end-to-end ownership of a digital product within Global Digital Services (GD). The role ensures that the product delivers sustainable business value for Procurement by aligning product strategy, delivery, operations, and people development with BASF’s digital strategy and GD priorities.
• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with GD, Procurement, and business objectives.
• Hold full accountability for the complete product lifecycle (ideation, build, run, optimize, retire).
• Decide on priorities, scope, and release content based on value, risk, cost, quality, compliance, and sustainability.
• Ensure transparency on product status, roadmap, risks, and key decisions within GD governance.
• Act as the primary interface between business and IT for the assigned product.
• Collaborate with business owners, architects, security, compliance, finance, procurement, and platform teams.
• Lead the product team, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance while
• Translate product strategy into clear objectives and outcomes aligned with GD priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement based on business feedback and performance metrics.
People & Talent Development :
• Develop team members in line with GD Role Profiles and Development Paths.
• Identify strengths, development needs, and career opportunities.
• Enable learning, upskilling, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to talent reviews and succession planning in cooperation with Product Family Managers and HR.
Business stakeholders, product team members (direct reports), development and platform teams, Agile Masters, Project Managers, Product Family Managers, HR and People Partners.
Qualification & Experience :
• University degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or comparable field.
• Experience in digital product management and global people leadership, preferably in a global environment.
• Strong product ownership, stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
