Job Summary:
The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in History, Geography, Civics, and related subjects while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and awareness among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective Social Studies lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
- Create a positive and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess, record, and report on students' academic progress and development.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and assessments.
- Integrate innovative teaching methods, technology, and activity-based learning into classroom instruction.
- Prepare students for examinations and provide remedial support when required.
- Maintain discipline and ensure the overall well-being of students.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and coordinators to enhance the learning experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies/History/Geography/Political Science or related field.
- B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed school (preferred).
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and smart classroom technologies.
